Revolutionaries from Current of the People Red Sun (Sol Rojo), confirmed in a general alert that the Government of Oaxaca, the States Attorney General’s Office, and the Judicial Power of the State of Oaxaca have initiated new and deceptive attacks against the leadership of Section 9 of the National Independent Union of Healthcare Workers (SINTS), which include leaders of their organization.

Organized healthcare workers led a work stoppage, lasting over 25 days, in which the democratic union demanded that over 170 workers who were unjustly fired be reinstated. In response the state has released seven warrants against union leaders.

SINTS is known for its class stand and militant combativeness, enjoying close relationships and overlapping membership with Sol Rojo.

Section 9 of SINTS is affiliated with the United Oaxacan Front of Independent Trade Unions and the New Central Workers at the national level, these groups are fighting for the democratization of the labor movement.

According to Sol Rojo, in a statement released last Thursday, “Given the ideological-political clarity of our union comrades and the combativeness of the working base, we are not surprised by the attitude of the old state, nor that these and other orders of apprehension against our militancy and our leaders are released. They are part of the costs of the class struggle!”

In response to the escalation from the old state, the Sol Rojistas issued a general alert to their members and supporters. Warning against any aggression of the regime and its lackeys, preparing contingents in the city and countryside to be ready to respond.

Sol Rojo has seen many comrades attacked by the old decaying Mexican State, known around the world for their commitment to New Democratic Revolution and the world proletarian revolution, Incendiary extends our solidarity, to them and to the brave trade unionists and healthcare workers in Oaxaca who continue to combat and resist.
